Confidentiality & Data Handling

Confidentiality is not a policy for us, it's the product.

A plain description of how we handle client information, in writing, so it's something you can point to rather than take on trust.

How we handle client information

Four practices we follow on every mandate, without exception.

§ 01

Written mandate before any information changes hands

Every engagement begins with a signed mandate letter that sets out what information will be shared, who can access it, and for what purpose, before any financials, cap tables, or client identities are exchanged.

§ 02

Access limited to the deal team

Client and deal information is shared only with the people directly working on that mandate. It is not shared internally beyond that, and not shared externally beyond the counterparties named in the mandate.

§ 03

No reuse beyond the mandate

Information shared for one engagement is not used for any other purpose, including other mandates, without the client's separate, explicit consent.

§ 04

Non-circumvention and non-disclosure terms in writing

Where a deal involves introducing two parties, our mandate letters include non-circumvention and confidentiality terms in writing, rather than relying on a verbal understanding.

A note on scope

This page describes our operating practice. If a mandate requires a specific data-handling standard, we agree to those terms in the mandate letter itself.
